COVID-19 and effects on weddings

Between guests traveling, bans placed by the policymakers regarding the size of gatherings, and honeymoon travel plans, the COVID-19 outbreak is likely to affect couples planning their weddings.

Having to cancel or postpone a wedding can be emotionally and financially crushing. With so many unknowns and extreme social distancing requirements in place, wedding planning has become more stressful than ever.

Recent guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a 50-person limit on public gatherings. The governor of Maryland stated that gatherings more than 50 people are prohibited, and the governor of Virginia put a ban on the gatherings of more than 100 people. Although these bans are for two weeks (for now), it is very likely to see an extension for the unforeseeable future. This leaves couples with no choice but to postpone their weddings.

At Arvin Photography LLC, I take this situation seriously, and providing excellent customer service is at the core of my values. I am here to support my clients as their scheduled events and weddings are getting cancelled or postponed. Based on the visibility I have working with some of the well-regarded wedding planners and the venues around us, the dates for Fall 2020 are filling up quickly, as more couples are forced to postpone their weddings.  I recommend couples who have weddings scheduled for April and May reach out to their planners and venues to reschedule.
